'Global Disability Youth IT Challenge' held at PKNU
On the 26th at Hanmir Bldg. in Yongdang Campus of PKNU
The Global Challenge for Youth IT Challenge, a side event of the 2019 ASEAN-Korea Special Summit, was held at the Hanmir building at Yongdang Campus, Pukyong National University on November 26.
The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, LG, the Global Disabled Youth IT Challenge Organizing Committee, LG Electronics, and the Korea Disabled Rehabilitation Association and it runs from this day until 28th.
This event is an international development cooperation project that has been carried out every year since 2011 by the Korea Disability Rehabilitation Association and LG to enhance social participation such as improving the information literacy of youths with disabilities, including the Asia-Pacific region and going to school and employment.
Over 100 IT youth leaders from 20 countries including Korea and ASEAN participated in this event, including individual exhibitions such as 'eLife Map Challenge (Internet Search)' and 'e Tool Challenge (Use of Office Programs)' and 'e Content Challenge' IT competition will be competed through team events such as e-Challenge and Self-driving Challenge.
On the day, Minister of Health and Welfare, Park Neung-hoo said, “I hope that the development of information and communication technology (ICT) will make you more free to meet the world, and look forward to your future IT leaders.”
